Make Cora Marine Terminal part of your Supply Chain:
The nation’s supply chain keeps moving thanks in part to one local transload facility: the
Cora Marine Terminal. Located in Rockwood, Illinois, this terminal is considered one of
the largest in the region, with the best access to both river and rail, and is owned and
operated by SCH Services, LLC, a joint venture partner of Watco.
While coal is the primary commodity handled there, the terminal has the land and the
rail and barge-handling infrastructure to assist liquid and bulk aggregate markets,
including liquid fertilizer, vegetable oil, diesel, sand, gravel, crushed stone, iron ore, and
grain.
There are numerous options for customers to grow, with over 330 acres of developable
land with direct access to the Union Pacific Railroad, the Mississippi River, and Illinois
Highway 3.
Customers can take advantage of the many benefits that Cora Marine Terminal offers
including:
- Outdoor storage capacity of 1.5 million tons
- A double-loop track with 600 railcar spots
- Capacity for handling four, 150-car unit trains
- Rotary railcar dumper system that can unload more than 3,000 tons per hour
- Rapid barge loadout
- Two harbor boats on-site for shifting and fleeting
